1 in 5 biopsies fail to return a diagnosis. That means that 1 in 5 patients will have to go back to the hospital to repeat the biopsy procedure or potentially undergo surgery just to find out if they have cancer. We have developed a unit that intervenes at the point-of-care to verify the sample quality in real time to let the clinician know if they need to take another sample before the patient ever goes home.
